Clinic for affective disorders, Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, outpatient clinics

Type of job: permanent employment after a 6-month trial period

Requirements: Education and title of specialist in accordance with EU requirements and licence to practice in the EU; experience and interest in the above-mentioned fields of work; desire to go to Sweden for work after completion of Swedish language course

Salary: SEK 59500 / month gross (EUR 3600-3700 net) for a new specialist; addition of ca SEK 1,000 for a year of experience in the home country; SEK 2000 addition in case of PhD.

The Sahlgrenska University Hospital is the largest hospital in Sweden, with five units in Gothenburg and the surrounding area, employs approx. 17,000 people.

The scope of work of the clinic for affective disorders includes not only treatment, but also research, teaching and development in cooperation with the Sahlgrenska Academy. The work provides development opportunities - participation in research work, the possibility of applying for funds for scientific research, postgraduate studies or other research-related activity, employment of support staff in research.

The scope of the clinic's work includes mood affective disorders (including bipolar disorder), neuropsychiatric conditions, personality disorders, eating disorders, anxiety disorders (including PTSD and obsessive-compulsive disorder), burn-out syndrome with psychiatric comorbidity, and complex self-harm. The clinic provides inpatient and outpatient care, in total it has 10 wards and 10 outpatient clinics, 650 employees, 11 thousand patients. The idea of value-based care is important. Doctors from outside Sweden are already working in the clinic.
